Enjoy a spell-binding performance which brings local history to life - and an opportunity to learn storytelling skills yourself.

The accomplished performers of The Heroine Project, who wowed audiences last year are returning to Rectory Lane Cemetery. They will transport you back to Victorian Berkhamsted and bring some of the women buried here back to life.

Each performance will be followed by refreshments and a specially designed workshop.

If you’re interested in storytelling, women’s lives, local history or just love being entertained - this is for you.

This event is part of the 2019 Chiltern Heritage Festival.

Rectory Lane Cemetery is a three-acre green space in the middle of Berkhamsted. Neglected for many years it is now the subject of a National Lottery Heritage Funded programme of transformation 'from a dead space to a living place', with conservation and landscaping works and an exciting programme of community activities and events.
