Join us this summer for nine days of fun-filled activity at Hemel’s Summer Festival, celebrating all things local. We will be kicking off the festival with the Big Garden Party to celebrate the reopening of Jellicoe’s Water Gardens in the heart of Hemel Hempstead.
Big Garden Party, Saturday 22 July
This fun-filled family day will include the official opening at 11am, followed by live entertainment from 11.30am to 4.30pm, with a wide range of food and community stalls and activities throughout the Water Gardens. This includes miniature garden making, model boats, creepy crawlies (AmeyZoo), crafts, mini-tours and much more. Food and drink will be available, including prosecco and Pimm's, crepes, curry, strawberries and cream, perfect for a family picnic along the Water Gardens.

Riverside’s Beach Party, Sunday 23 July
On Sunday 23 July you can visit Riverside’s Beach Party, open from 10am to 5pm. Their giant sandpit will be open complete with buckets and spades for endless hours of fun. The children’s play area in the centre will play host to party fun with balloons, glitter, tattoos and magic show.*
Movies on the Marlowes, Monday 24 July to Friday 28 July
Watch your favourite films on our big screen every day at 10am followed by themed free film fun on the Rainbow Stage and at Riverside.

Food and Drink Festival, 29-30 July
Eat, drink and relax at the Marlowes Food and Drink Festival on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 July (11am to 5pm). Across the weekend there will be free fun for the whole family with street food traders, artisan market stalls, live music and kids' entertainment.
*The beach at Riverside opens on Saturday 22 July and every day until Sunday 3 September. This will be open daily 10am to 4pm.
