Fibonacci Quartet

The only ensemble to ever win both First and Audience Prizes at the Premio Paolo Borciani International String Quartet Competition in Italy (2024). Mozart - Quartet No 21 in D Major K575 Janácek - Quartet No 2 'Intimate Letters' Tchaikovsky - Quartet No 3 in E Flat Minor The programme begins with the refined and graceful late 'Prussian' quartet by Mozart, commissioned by the King of Prussia, a talented cellist. By contrast, Janácek's 'Intimate Letters', inspired by his long friendship with Kamila Stösslová is raw, disjointed and highly emotional. Tchaikovsky's last string quartet, in memory of his friend Ferdinand Laub, has a particularly moving Adagio.
