Sample event image Hemel Hempstead Library, in partnership with Dacorum Borough Council, will be joining the national campaign for culture and opening its doors as a Fun Palace on Saturday 5 October from 11am to 3pm. It is a free event and there will be something for all to enjoy.

Fun Palaces promote culture at the heart of community using a combination of arts, craft, science, tech, digital, heritage and sports activities, led by local people for local people, sharing their own passions and skills.

This is the first Fun Palace held at the Library, which is located in the Forum. Activities include: photography, yoga, horticulture, sport demonstrations, arts and crafts, board games, mindfulness, an upholstery demonstration, Spanish for children, plus much more.

No need to book, just turn up. Workshop session places are on a first come, first served basis.

Eatlunch café will be serving drinks and snacks in The Forum during the event.
