Sample event image A talk by astrophysicist Dr Suzie Imber (winner BBC programme Astronauts, Do You Have What It Takes?) and research scientist, Peter Matthews. In their talk, Peter and Suzie will discuss topics that will have an impact on Berkhamsted residents in the next 100 years. Will we be led into the promised utopia or will humanity’s propensity for war spread into space?

The future of work, healthcare, digital security and the future place of religion in the automated world all need understanding and debate. Ethical questions, such as low birth rate versus greater longevity, greater leisure and the modification of humans, are becoming more important than technology questions.
